ARTS & LETTERS PROJECTS

Participating in Arts & Letters Projects, a micro-internship program funded by the College of Arts & Letters’ Excel Network, was an incredible experience for me. The short-term opportunities, each taking fewer than 45 hours to complete, fit perfectly into my schedule. I loved the flexibility of choosing between remote and in-person projects, which allowed me to balance my other commitments. These projects were a fantastic way to build professional experience, enhance my resume, and add meaningful work to my portfolio, all while developing valuable skills.

Talk About Teddy Podcast

I worked with the Talk About Teddy team to enhance their online presence and optimize their content strategy which involved reviewing their website and social media accounts and providing detailed reports with best practices and recommendations to improve visitor engagement. I also designed 13 brand-specific social media posts in Canva, offering versatile, ready-to-use content tailored to their audience. To support their long-term strategy, I created a dynamic content calendar in Google Sheets to organize and schedule posts, including promotions for their podcast episodes.

This project highlighted my ability to analyze digital platforms, create engaging content, and implement effective organizational tools for lasting impact.

Spartan Ninja Warrior

Spartan Ninja is a dynamic space where kids can train like American Ninja Warriors through obstacle courses, martial arts, cross-training, and gymnastics tumbling. I contributed to their mission by designing custom graphic templates for promotional materials and creating over 30 tailored social media posts using Canva. These posts highlighted key events and offerings, such as open gyms, birthday parties, and competition team tryouts. Throughout the process, I strived to adhere to brand guidelines and colors while also thinking outside the box to create vibrant, eye-catching graphics that captured attention and effectively communicated the brand’s energetic spirit.

College of Arts & Letters

As a Social Media Researcher with Arts & Letters Projects, I conducted an in-depth analysis of social media practices across 88 colleges in the United States, exploring platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), and YouTube. By comparing strategies and identifying strengths and weaknesses, I gained valuable insights into proper branding techniques, understanding what works, what doesn’t, and how to create engaging, consistent content.

This project allowed me to hone my ability to spot effective approaches and avoid common pitfalls in social media management. I compiled my findings into a comprehensive document, which I presented to my supervisors, showcasing my understanding of best practices and offering actionable recommendations for enhancing the College of Arts & Letters’ social media presence.
